In the last part of the game the players of BK Kvis Pardubice increased the pace of the game again and largely thanks to the well-disposed Vyoral-Colak duo, they took the lead again, which they did not give up until the end of the match, winning 79:68.
Post-game quotes:
Jacek Winnicki, head coach of Dabrowa Górnicza: “It was a hard game for us. We have problems with injuries. Once again, it was our problem in the 4th quarter and this is the reason why the result is like that. We looked bad in rebounds so we have to work on that.”
Marcin Piechowicz, player of Dabrowa Górnicza: “For us this is a lost game against Pardubice. We knew that it would be a hard game, because this is the strongest team in our group in Alpe Adria Cup. We had that they threw lots of for three points, and today they count. They were fighting for a whole game. They made leading in the first half and it’s a pity because we took a lead in the 3rd quarter. Then we made some bad decisions and the result is bad for us. It’s hard to win if only three players are scoring.”
Dino Repeša, head coach of Pardubice: “Congrats to my players for coming here and believing from the first minute against, in my opinion, Dąbrowa is very good team from good polish league. They were up for 30 minutes against Zielona Góra. Of course we respect them a lot. We prepared well and I think we played probably the best game of this season, like against Nymburk (we can also win). Big respect to my guys, big desire to win. We have 16 rebounds more, definitely that it helped us a lot to win a game. But from the beginning of the game I saw that my team was focused and concentrated, and we controlled the game – offensive and defensive for almost forty minutes. Let’s move on very important game on Saturday. We won the last five of six games and I hope that we continue our winning streak on Saturday.”
Petr Safarcik, player of Pardubice: “I need to say that we were really good prepared for this game. The coach did a really good job with tactics and everything. I saw it in the practice before the game on Monday and Tuesday that we were really good prepared. We were following the instructions and we started raising at the beginning of today. And we stick to that for a whole game. I think that it was a recipe for a win. We played a really good game in tactics. Game was physically and it was the key.”
