Post-game quotes:

Dragan Petričevič, coach of Timisoara: “That’s all that happened this season. It remains to be seen if and where we will participate next season in the european cups. Our team urgently needs to regain the lost confidence in its own strength in terms of throws. Today we had a lot of open three-pointers, I think there is a blockage there. It also happens in houses bigger than ours. I told the players in the locker room that the day will come when we will make 15 three-pointers in a game. We have to keep the intensity in defense that we had today. We started the match well, but we met a team that, as I said before the game, was favorite to qualify.”

Adem Mekić, player of Timisoara: “I’m sorry we didn’t qualify, we missed too many shots. After the tough defeat in Sibiu we showed character and beat a very good Polish team. We showed that we can be competitive with anyone. This victory will give us confidence for the next matches in the Top 10 phase of the national championship.”

Jacek Winnicki, coach of Dabrowa Górnicza: “It was a tough game, we expected to be like that. We lost by one point, but actually it’s a big win for us, because we qualify for the Final Four. We are really happy, I think that we were the better team during both games. We have problems, because we lost our point guard in the second half. We will see what the medical tests will say. I congratulate my players, we will be ready for the Final Four. We played to qualify, not to win this game. We like this competition. Last season was the first one for us in Alpe Adria Cup. We played the playoffs in Wien. Overall we played against teams from Croatia, Austria, Slovakia, Czech Republic, it’s a good idea for us to play in Alpe Adria Cup.”

Ousmane Drame, player of Dabrowa Górnicza: “It was a tough game. We knew that they will going to play well, because they were at home in front of their crowd. I’m glad we move up to the next phase of the competition. You always want to win the game, but the important thing is to move on. Let’s see against who we will play in the next round, we’ll try to make less mistakes. Timisoara was a difficult opponent for us. They are very disciplined, they know how to execute their plays and they have good guards. It was very tough for us to stay focused. It was a challenge but we are happy to move on.”
